Our Story
It all started as a dare. My daughter Lauren had just purchased a bandana for our pet Malshi ‘Mia’. She paid what I thought was an extortionate price for the product. So after a lot of ranting about the value of our purchase my daughter challenged me to make one myself.
One of course was never going to be enough, so Mia became the most accessorised dog in the neighbourhood. After making bandanas for friends and family for quite some time, the question was asked, why don’t you make them for sale. That was 2017.
Unlike many other bandanas on the market, we use a double layer of high quality cotton. We also include two horizontal and independent rows of stiching to allow for different sized collars to fit through your bandana.
As well as online sales we also attend local markets such as the St. Catherines Market in Leixlip/Lucan. This is a fun way to meet the pets and their people who share my passion for animals.
We started off on Etsy where people from all over the world discovered Petkerchief and seem to really like our bananas (check out our testimonials below). We then decided to make our own little spot on the internet right here at Petkerchief.ie.
